Jean joined Loo & Koo in 2016 after having spent four years abroad working as an in-house legal advisor for a restaurant chain.

Jean completed a conjoint degree in Law and Commerce at the University of Auckland. She practises in property and commercial law with particular focus on property acquisitions and disposals, legal due diligence, property finance, commercial leasing and business acquisitions and disposals. She has worked with a range of clients from corporates, small to medium size businesses and high net worth individuals. Having worked in a corporate commercial environment, Jean is focused on providing strategic and pragmatic legal advice to her clients.

Outside of work Jean is a keen traveller and enjoys learning about different cultures. Jean is also passionate about community work and has in the past volunteered at the Citizens Advice Bureau providing pro bono legal services.

• Completing due diligence investigation on the acquisition of a $10 million water bottling plant.
• Handling leasing matters for commercial landlord in respect of a bulk retail centre at Otara Town Centre.
• Acting for local ethnic supermarket and bakery chains in the drafting of license agreements.
• Advising on construction contract for multimillion warehouse project in Mangere, Auckland.
